Fisheries Rulemaking Questionnaire - Border waters/Closed waters

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is evaluating a series of proposed fishing-related rule changes.  Public feedback is desired and we welcome your input.  None of the questions in this rulemaking questionnaire are mandatory, so you can skip any questions that you are not interested in or that do not pertain to you.  

The questions are organized into 4 different sections:  

Section 1 - St. Croix River fishing regulations
Section 2 - St. Louis River fishing regulations
Section 3 - Regulations on waters closed to fishing
Section 4 - Other regulations

  • Largemouth and smallmouth bass catch-and-release season
  • Walleye and sauger daily and possession limit
  • Northern pike daily and possession limit
  • Catfish daily and possession limit
  • Crappie daily and possession limit
  • Yellow perch daily and possession limit
  • White and yellow bass daily and possession limit
